Strategic thinking

Add a chess photo

Chess is where I practise thinking before I move. As a top 100 player in Canada, I have learned that progress does not come from rushing to find the first idea. It comes from asking better questions: What has changed? What is my opponent planning? Which move creates the most opportunities later? Every game asks me to stay calm, manage time, and keep learning after mistakes. I enjoy the mix of calculation and creativity, because a strong plan still has to adapt to the board in front of you. Chess has helped me become more patient with difficult problems and more curious about other people’s perspectives. I bring that same approach to school and coding: look closely, test ideas, learn from what does not work, and make the next move with intention. This section is a place for me to share tournament moments, games I am proud of, and what I am learning next.
